A Visit to Lanzhou, China
On June 18, 2017 Michel was a guest of Master Wang Zhi Yong's Tai Chi class in Lanzhou, China. He had been invited by Wang Xu in 2016 to meet her Tai Chi instructor Master Wang Zhi Yong and his students and friends.

Master Wang Zhi Yong
Master Wang is the top rated tai chi instructor in Gansu province and rated number eight in China in tai chi form competition.

Demonstrating Tai chi
I demonstrated my Yang Style Tai Chi form for Master Wang and his students. After my demo Master Wang told his students that my form was not a "competition" tai chi form - it was the "original" tai chi.
Form Demonstration
It was very rare to have a foreigner visit their class and demonstrate Tai Chi. They were very curious and everyone wanted pictures.

Michel and Master Zhao He Rang
While in Lanzhou, China, Master Wang Zhi Yong introduced me to his friend, Zhao He Rang (pictured). Master Zhao is 76 years old and in great shape. I was told that he is very good at Push Hands (Tui shou).
An afternoon with Wang Zhi Yong
After the morning class we went to lunch and then to another spot by the river where some of his students practice. We were joined by Zhao He Rang who helped show me some of the finer points of Push Hands.
