Planning for the Redding Tai Chi Meditation Garden
Members of the Board of Directors for the Redding Tai Chi Meditation Garden, Melinda Kashuba, Iraja Sivadas and Michel Czehatowski along Construction Consultant Ron Huett met with Architect Ryan Russell of Russell Design Studio today to discuss the placement of the Tai Chi Meditation Garden at the new location within the McConnell Arboretum which is part of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park campus. Our new location is a short walk from either the Sundial Bridge or the west entrance of the McConnell Arboretum. It has the advantage of being within a gated section of the park. There are also mature trees in the area that will provide some early morning shade. Another benefit of this location is that it is more accessible to construction equipment which we expect to lower our estimated cost to build the project. We hope to have the new plans ready by April 25, 2020 in time for World Tai Chi Day.
