Step Back like a Monkey.

I remember seeing my Chinese friend's mother doing this when she was in her 80's. She didn't take just a few steps she walked a block or more this way.

If you learned and practice Tai Chi you have been doing this all along. There are stepping backwards movements, Step Back Like a Monkey, aka Step Back and Repulse Monkey, in the Tai Chi form.
